ORC Week 1: Mini but Mighty – Kicking Off the Challenge!

It’s that time again—One Room Challenge (ORC) season! But this round, I’m switching things up. Instead of tackling one massive project, I’m diving into a series of mini transformations that will make a big impact in our home.

For this ORC, my focus is on refreshing our upstairs hallway and—if I can squeeze it in—giving our pantry space a well-deserved update. You've seen me work on this space before. I previously tackled the landing before hallway. Let me remind you if you've forgotten.

Here’s the plan:

1. Color Drenching the Upstairs Hallway

A while back, I gave our built-in landing a makeover, and I’m still obsessed with the deep, moody vibe of Behr’s Nocturne. Now, it’s time to take it all the way! Walls, trim, ceiling—everything is getting drenched in this rich shade to create a seamless, bold look.

2. Updating the Hallway Doors

The hallway doors have seen better days, and I want to elevate their look with a modern yet classic refresh. Whether it’s paint, molding, or a whole new style, these doors are about to get the glow-up they deserve.

3. (Hopefully!) Updating the Pantry Space

This one is a bit of a wildcard, but if time allows, I’d love to refresh the pantry doors and add some style to this little but mighty space.

This ORC feels different—more intentional, more about maximizing what we already have, and more about making small but powerful changes. I’m excited to see where these mini projects take me!

Follow along each week as I share progress, challenges, and all the creative chaos that comes with DIY. Let’s do this!
